ING Investment Management (INGIM) has added senior staff to its Australian listed property and small companies teams, and has added two analysts to its credit research team.

David Scott has been appointed director of Real Estate Securities and will have overall responsibility for INGIM’s $1 billion listed property portfolio. Scott previously led Credit Suisse Asset Management’s Australian listed property team and has more than 25 years of experience in the industry.

Joel Fleming has been promoted to the role of portfolio manager for Small Companies. Fleming joined INGIM in 2007 as a Small Companies equities analyst and previously spent three years at Allianz Global Investors – RCM Capital Management as a research analyst.

INGIM is also finalising the recruitment of two analysts for its Australian listed property and Small Companies teams.

INGIM has added two analysts to its local credit research team, bringing the number of dedicated credit specialists to six.

Ed Teh has been appointed as senior credit analyst with responsibility for potential credit investments for INGIM’s range of fixed income portfolios, commencing in late August. Teh joins INGIM from global credit risk manager MBIA where he spent five years covering the infrastructure and utility credit sectors.

Thomas Wu will join INGIM in late September as a credit analyst. He worked most recently at Bridport Capital, and prior to that held roles within BNP Paribas and UBS Investment Management.

“These significant appointments will support our push into the adviser and platform sector as well as enhancing our institutional offering,” said INGIM’s Australian chief executive Steven Billiet.

“It’s an exciting time for our Australian business and we expect to announce additional new appointments and investment solutions in the coming months,” he said.
