Trust and Equity Trustees confirm talks
Trust Company Limited and Equity Trustees have confirmed media speculation that they are in merger talks.
The two companies issued statements to the Australian Securities Exchange today confirming the discussions.
They said Trust Company Limited and Equity Trustees Limited confirmed that preliminary discussions were underway regarding a possible merger.
The Trust Company statement said the board of directors was yet to consider a proposal and that there had been no due diligence.
“Consequently, there is no certainty that a transaction of any form will occur,” it said.
