About the Top 100 research
Money Management commissioned KPI Research to create a list of the 100 biggest financial planning dealer groups in Australia, ranked by the number of proper authority holders.
Alongside the list of the 100 largest planning firms, there is valuable information on revenue, funds under management and the number of clients using these finan-cial planners.
This is the first time such a wide-ranging survey of the Australian financial plan-ning landscape has been attempted. The survey will be published every year as a watermark to the state of the Australian financial planning industry.
KPI Research managed the methodology of the survey. KPI sent a questionnaire to a large database of financial planning firms. The data published here is the result of this questionnaire except where marked by symbols.
Some dealer groups refused to cooperate with the survey. For some of those groups, KPI Research has estimated the data published with information from a number of alternative sources.
KPI Research is a joint venture between two of the most respected independent consultants in the financial services business - Tom Collins and Leo Wassercug.
