Sealcorp, 5Di sign AAG to research agri schemes
Sealcorp and 5Di have signed up the Australian Agribusiness Group (AAG) to provide them with research on agribusiness managed investment schemes.
Under the deal, AAG will produce a list of recommended agribusiness products for the two groups.
This approved list will be used by Sealcorp’s Securitor and PACT dealerships, which amounts to about 600 planners. The 5Di deal will mean more than 20 dealer groups - includingGarrisons, Quadrant andAustralian Unity- will have access to the approved list.
AAG managing director Marcus Elgin says with planners coming under more compliance scrutiny it is important they have access to research for all asset classes.
“Sealcorp and 5Di are committed to knowing their products, and AAG will assist them in that process,” he says.
“These two large financial planning groups have joined a very large number of other planners, big and small, in recognising that research has to be prepared to ‘call a spade a spade’ to protect their, and their clients’, interests.”
As part of its rating of the agribusiness products, AAG provides corporate governance reviews in alliance withErnst & Young. The researcher’s website also includes comprehensive details on most agribusiness schemes offered in Australia.
