Rice Warner restructures

Actuarial consultancy, Rice Warner, has undertaken what it has described as a "major restructure" which has involved new appointments and a reorganization of the business into three streams dealing with life insurance, superannuation and investments and digital consulting.
Money Management understands the changes also follow the departure of some personnel from the firm.
Announcing the moves this week, the company described the most important element as being the formation of the Digital Consulting team led by digital solution specialist Ashley Priest, who will report to Deputy CEO, Melissa Fuller.
It said Joash Belousoff was also a recent addition to the team and brought with him a unique combination of software expertise and a deep understanding of the superannuation and advice markets.
"This significant shift for Rice Warner reflects the prevalence of new technology underpinning client strategies, including the core issue of efficient and effective member engagement and advice for super funds and advisers," it said.
The announcement said the Life Insurance team would be led by Thierry Bareau, while the Superannuation Investments Team would be headed by Steve Freeborn and had been strengthened by the appointment of Michael Berg.
