PIMCO transforms distribution model

Global investment management firm PIMCO has announced its plans to internalise the distribution of its funds in Australia.
Over the coming months equity trustees will transfer distribution responsibilities of PIMCO funds to PIMCO.
As part of the company's global wealth management distribution strategy in Australia the plan aims to expand and change the organisational structure, launch new strategies, and focus on education and tools to help advisers.
"For PIMCO creating one engagement model for all PIMCO products is a natural part of PIMCO's continued evolution as a complete provider of investment solutions," PIMCO's head of Australia, Adrian Stewart, said.
"It's critical to ensure PIMCO is as close as we can be to our clients to understand their requirements and deliver innovative investment solutions to help their clients achieve their long term objectives."
Equity trustees will continue to act as the responsibly entity for the PIMCO funds.
