O’Dwyer gains from Cabinet reshuffle

Kelly O'Dwyer has emerged as one of the winners from the latest Federal Cabinet reshuffle.

The Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull announced that as well as retaining her role as Minister for Revenue and Financial Services, O’Dwyer would also be Minister for Women – a role previously held by Micheala Cash who now becomes the Minister for Jobs and Innovation.

Importantly for O’Dwyer, her additional ministerial responsibilities were amongst the first mentioned by Turnbull in announcing the changed Cabinet arrangements.

However the Revenue and Financial Services role remains in the outer Cabinet and under the broad umbrella provided the Treasury.
