Industry funds back APRA league tables
The Industry Super Network (ISN) has backed the public release by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) of superannuation fund performance league tables.
The executive manager of the ISN, David Whiteley, said the publication of the tables would help engage consumers in making decisions.
“League tables will improve access to objective and authoritative information on the long-term net performance for members, as well as industry, government and academics,” he said.
Whiteley said he believed league tables would also increase competition between superannuation funds on long-term fees and investment performance as funds seek to achieve reputation advantage in the rankings.
