Former Reserve Bank Governor, Ian Macfarlane will headline the Morningstar Investment Conference in Sydney on 15 May.

Macfarlane will discuss the role of the central banks in the context of an increasingly globalised world and the implications for Australia.

The conference will also traverse asset allocation with MLC senior investment strategy, Michael Karagianis joining with Schroders' head of strategy, Simon Stevenson and Ibbotson's Brad Bugg to discuss how they intend positioning their portfolios.

The conference will also traverse the topics of fixed interest and navigating the always complex area of alternative investments.
