FPA set to launch Financial Planning Week
The Financial Planning Association (FPA) is set to launch its 13th annual Financial Planning Week later this month, which will see its members provide free advice to the unadvised public.
The Financial Planning Week, which will be held between 26 August and 1 September, is designed to promote the value of financial advice to the broader Australian public, according to the FPA.
The Ask an Expert initiative — which will allow members to provide free financial advice on a range of topics including retirement, saving, superannuation, investment and insurance — will once again become a central feature of the week-long event.
The FPA will update its consumer website with insights and jargon-free information as well as real-life case studies "to help bring the benefits of quality financial advice to life", the association said.
Raising awareness via social media channels will also be one of the central initiatives of the Financial Planning Week.
