In what was a showcase of professionalism and excellence, the education providers of Australia’s financial services industry have been recognised at the inaugural Financial Services Education Agency Australia (FSEAA) Quality Education Awards night.

Among those to leave with a trophy was Finsia (Financial Services Institute of Australasia), which was crowned winner of the Excellence in Education for Financial Services — Higher Education award.

According to FSEAA general manager Catherine Chaffey, Finsia was “by far the best applicant” for the award.

“It is really clear that Finsia leverages industry understanding and experience in its program delivery,” she explained.

Tribeca Learning scooped two awards on the night — Education Provider of the Year for Retail Financial Services and Excellence in Education for Continuing Professional Development.

Chaffey said Tribeca won both awards because its customers received a high-quality experience and also because of the extent to which it understood the industry.

Other organisations to receive awards on the night were the National Insurance Brokers Association (Innovation and Leadership in Professionalism — Association and Excellence in Education— Vocational Education and Training), the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (Education Provider of the Year — Insurance Services), and AMP Corporate Superannuation (Most Innovative Use of Technology in Education).

The awards are intended to highlight the superior quality that exists within Australia’s financial services education space.
