Disqualified director pleads guilty for managing corporation

A former director has pleaded guilty to managing a corporation while disqualified, following investigations by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).

James Kwok, of Hope Island, Queensland pleaded guilty to managing Pacific Energy International between March 2010 and July 2012 despite being disqualified for a 2006 criminal conviction for dishonestly using his position as a director, at a hearing at  Brisbane Magistrates Court.

In 2014 Kwok was charged with two counts of managing a corporation while prohibited.

Kwok will face the Magistrates Court on 4 May for sentencing.
