Commbank confirms BankWest bid
The Commonwealth Bank of Australia has confirmed it is looking to buy BankWest from HBOS. The bank said it had commenced “exclusive negotiations” with HBOS, but that the parties had not yet reached an agreement regarding the acquisition.
