CFPs in demand

The Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation has been cemented as an industry benchmark for financial planning practices seeking to fill senior roles.
That is the bottom line of new data analysing demand patterns for planning roles and will be reinforced by figures to be released at this year’s Financial Planning Association (FPA) national conference in Melbourne confirming that 383 new CFP professionals have graduated over the past 12 months.
The data has been confirmed at the same time as the FPA is seeking to fill enrolments for its summer school program for both CFP certification and the Life Risk Specialty program.
Those joining the program would be joining more than 500 other people who are already studying the various components.
The FPA is expected to announce enhancements to the program at this year’s conference with an Estate Planning Specialist designation being added.
