BetaShares appoints new COO

Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) specialist, BetaShares has appointed a new Chief Operating Officer and further grown its distribution team.
The company announced this week it had appointed former CitiCorp Technial Sales Manager, Debbie Bennett to the role.
With respect to its distribution team, BetaShares said it had hired two Business Development Associates who would be responsible for supporting BetaShares' distribution activities through institutional and intermediary channels.
Commenting on the appointments, BetaShares' managing director, Alex Vynokur said they were aimed at supporting the company's growing product set.
"We launched three new funds last year, each of which is designed to give investors new exposures that were not previously available on the Australian market," he said.
"We are now on track to hit a milestone of $2 billion in funds under management in the first quarter of 2015 and expect to continue to broaden our product set over the course of the year", Vynokur said.
