AMP Capital makes key infrastructure hires
AMP Capital has continued to build on its global infrastructure platform with the announcement this week of two appointments to its New York-based Infrastructure Equity team.
The company announced Michael Hamilton had been appointed as Investment Director with a focus on sourcing deals and managing assets owned by AMP Capital in the Americas region, while Andrew Kirby had been appointed as Senior Associate, focused on transaction support and execution activities.
The announcement said Hamilton had previously been Managing Member of Blue Wave Capital Partners and has held previous roles at RBC Capital Markets and Hastings Funds Management, while Kirby was previously an Associate at Rothschild in the Mergers and Acquisitions division focussing on infrastructure transactions in North America and across Europe.
Commenting on the appointments, AMP Capital Head of Americas - Infrastructure Equity, Dylan Foo said they further built upon the company's expertise in the power and energy sector.
"Michael has more than 15 years' experience in energy-related infrastructure at both banking and asset management firms while Andrew complements the team with excellent transaction execution skills and a specific expertise in the utilities sector," he said.
