AMP Capital Investors enters into joint venture
AMP Capital Investors will enter into a joint venture with Brookfield Investment Management to create a global listed real estate and infrastructure group.
Mark O’Brien, a director of AMP Capital Investors, said the new joint venture, AMP Capital Brookfield, would add to its expertise in global real estate investment trusts and offer more capabilities for clients in listed infrastructure and property.
The joint venture will provide a robust governance structure to maximise efficient business management and strengthen the company’s capabilities, according to the release.
The joint venture will be headed by Nick Tannura as chief executive. He will be based in Chicago.
AMP Capital Investors and Brookfield Investment Management first partnered in 2002.
