Macquarie Funds Group has added another analyst to its Australian equities fundamental research team.

Alex Chau will join the team of nine other researchers, six of which are senior analysts, according to head of equities Patrick Hodgens.

“We have spent the previous 12 months on a very deliberate and thorough search for research analysts,” Hodgens said.

Chau was previously a senior analyst at Credit Suisse.

Macquarie Funds Group’s Australian equities fundamental research team provides research inputs that help determine the investment decisions for Macquarie’s core active, high conviction, small companies and microcaps funds.
