In his new role, he would lead FRAA’s Asia Pacific investment team in research, analysis and transactions of private real estate investment opportunities in the region.

He would be also in charge of defining market insight and investment themes as well as development and marketing of real estate investments products and strategies, with a focus on Asian markets.

Franklin Templeton’s managing director for Asia Pacific, Mark Browning, said: “In the private equity real estate space, we have observed that the Asia Pacific region remains a key market for our clients and investor interest is robust.

“Long term growth prospects for real estate in the region remain bright and supported by strong fundamentals.

“We are excited to have someone of Woon Pin’s calibre on board and look forward to leveraging his knowledge and experience as our business continues to grow.”
