Voting opens for BDM of the Year

money management financial planners

| By Jayson Forrest |

Financial planners are encouraged to tell Money Management what they think of this year’s crop of notable BDMs by voting for one the 20 finalists in the BDM of the Year awards.

With nominations finalised, planners are now invited to vote for people according to their technical/product knowledge, business acumen and personal abilities.

The BDM finalists will be judged via a qualitative and quantitative process. The number of votes received by each candidate will be tallied and their aggregate scores calculated. Money Management will then interview the candidates in order to profile their achievements and history in the industry. This information will then be presented to a panel of industry experts who will determine the outright winner.

The overall winner and five state winners will be presented with their awards at the Money Management Fund Manager of the Year awards in Sydney at a black-tie event on 26 May, 2011.

To vote for this year's BDM of the Year, please go to www.surveymonkey.com/s/bdm2011

Voting is only open to practising financial planners and closes on April 13, 2011.
