Specialist adviser firm joins Australian Unity

Another financial planning firm has moved under the Australian Unity Personal Financial Services umbrella — this time Health & Finance Integrated.
The company, which markets itself as a "leading social enterprise financial advice firm" was confirmed as joining Australian Unity this week.
Australian Unity Personal Financial Services currently has 102 planning practices, 185 advisers and 24 mortgage brokers operating in all mainland states and the ACT.
Confirming the move, Health & Finance Integrated founder and principal adviser, William Johns, said he believed Australian Unity represented a good fit because it was not bank or life company-aligned and came with a broad approved product list for warp accounts, direct and managed investments and risk insurance.
Australian Unity Personal Financial Services chief executive, Steve Davis, agreed that a strong cultural alignment existed between the two companies.
Health & Finance Integrated describes itself as a financial planning social enterprise that recognises the importance of providing ethical, sound financial advice that is integrated with healthcare and social support.
Its clients range from those with serious disabilities and injuries, to parents with chronically ill children and older adults with comorbidities.
