Reshuffle at Macquarie

Macquarie Bank has restructured its banking and securitisation division with three senior staff members taking on new roles.

The reshuffle sees former head of the margin lending division Mickey Perret promoted to joint head of banking with Greg Loveday, and Steve Robertson moved into Perret’s previous position from his role as head of distribution and marketing for the margin lending division.

Peter van der Westhuyzen completes the reorganisation, assuming the role of head of distribution and marketing for the business arm.

“This is all off the back of the business experiencing very strong growth over the last couple of years. We’ve grown at more than double the industry growth rates according to RBA [Reserve Bank of Australia] statistics,” Robertson explained.

He said the move is in line with the division’s plans for continued growth and will give the business greater emphasis on service to the customer.
