The man responsible for establishing AMP’s salaried financial planning arm Grant O’Riley has left AMP to take over as managing director of IOOF financial planning arm Winchcombe Carson.
O’Riley, who built up AMP Adviser Solutions over a very short period of time before it was folded in to AMP Financial Planning last year, takes on management of the group’s 75 financial planners. Prior to joining AMP, he was State Manager with MLC.
O’Riley says the group has “strong potential”.
“The immediate focus is to gain a stronger understanding of the strengths of the or-ganisation, develop a vision for the future and implement the changes needed to con-solidate our position as a leading dealer group,” he says.
