New PDM for My Adviser
Financial services industry veteran Michael Hutchison will join IFA dealer network My Adviser as the group's practice development manager (PDM).
Hutchison has 22 years' experience within the industry - most recently as business development manager at Intrust Superannuation. He also worked for Financial Services Partners, playing a key role in developing strategy and providing leadership as PDM for Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia.
My Adviser managing director Philippa Sheehan said employing quality staff is just as important as having quality processes.
"Our core driver at My Adviser is to provide the best of breed support for our advisers … Having a PDM of Michael's experience joining our dealer services network will assist our Authorised Representatives to grow their planning firms while continuing to offer quality, professional financial advice," she said.
Hutchison will start on 4 June 2012, bringing with him six years' experience in the same role with MLC Alliances.
"Over the years I have finetuned my skills in assisting advisers to improve their revenue during tough times by focusing on the right aspects of their businesses. It is possible to be sustainable and profitable whilst delivering exceptional value to clients. I am looking forward to bringing that skill set to My Adviser," Hutchison said.
The appointment comes a few months after a buyout by Plan B saw My Adviser ownership change hands aiming to spread their reach from the East coast to the West.
