MLC boosts technical team
MLC has expanded its technical team and built up support services for financial advisers, with the announcement of three new appointments.
Gemma Dale has been appointed to the role of head of technical services, Peter Hogan joins the team in a special advisory role, while the role of technical manager, business development has been dealt to Martin Breckon.
Formerly the senior technical manager at Asgard Wealth Solutions, Dale has managed the ThreeSixty technical team since joining MLC in 2008. She will now be responsible for leading a combined team of MLC, ThreeSixty and Aviva technical services.
Most recently, Hogan was the principal of Plaza Financial while his previous experience also includes working for Colonial First State and Macquarie Bank as head of technical services. He remains a director of Self Managed Superannuation Funds Professional Association.
Breckon has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, formerly working for Aviva as technical marketing manager.
General manager of advice services at MLC, Raelene Seales, said she is pleased with the company expanding its capabilities.
“Our expanded team of technical specialists will also now be available to the independent financial adviser market following significant demand from that sector of the market, particularly for phone and email support, as well as face-to-face presentations,” she added.
