MBS Insurance partners with Pitcher Partner
Accounting and business advisory firm, Pitcher Partners Sydney, has announced a joint venture partnership with risk specialist practice, MBS Insurance, to provide protection solutions and consulting services for clients and business owners.
The joint venture, which would be marketed as Pitcher Partners Sydney Insurance Services (PPSIS), would mean clients of both firms would have access to a network of insurance practitioners, business consultants, and specialists who would operate under the new structure.
MBS Insurance partner, Kris Mason, said the significant range of offerings and complexity between standalone insurance products and offerings inside superannuation had become confusing for those outside the advice sector despite the narrowing of the number of product providers in the marketplace.
He said group insurance within superannuation, for example, had fallen behind consumer expectations, while pricing had jumped significantly over the last few years.
"Many superannuation clients are simply not aware of the terms and conditions of their fund that can be changed by the Trustee without reference to the member," Mason said.
"PPSIS will be able to provide clients with a detailed review their insurance and advise if the cover is appropriate to their needs and expectations."
MBS Insurance joined the Bombora Advice dealer group in July 2015.
