IWL planning software doubles user numbers
IWLhas increased the number of VisiPlan and LLink software licenses by almost 100 per cent over the past year, the company announced in a statement on the March quarter to theAustralian Stock Exchange.
The number of licensed users of VisiPlan and Llink is now close to 5400, with a large contract to roll out the platform to ING yet to commence. The ING rollout will occur in June this year, and has been delayed because ING will be the first client to use the latest technology of IWL.
Meanwhile, integration of VisiPlan within Garrisons and AMP Hillross networks is expected to be completed by early May 2002, the company says.
The report also says that LLink will be eventually phased out as a platform after various functions in LLink will be incorporated into the VisiPlan set-up. The client base currently using LLink will be converted into the new VisiPlan by the second half of this year, according to the company. LLink was added to the IWL suite of products following IWL’s purchase of Acompli Technologies from Zurich late last year.
IWL says it has used a seasonal decline in sales of VisiPlan to devote resources to converting users of the LLink systems to VisiPlan.
Interestingly, IWL says it has been in discussions with other companies about joint ventures, strategic alliances and possible equity exchanges, during the March quarter. However, no binding agreements have as yet been made.
