Iress deploys XPLAN in the UK

Iress Market Technology has gone live with its first deployment in the United Kingdom after launching its XPLAN advice platform with Sesame Bankhall Group.
After announcing in November last year that it intended to enter the UK market, Iress has since established its UK team and data centres, and localised XPLAN for Sesame Bankhall and the wider UK market.
The software provider added that it has also integrated with six third-party systems to provide UK based modelling, fund data and quote services, as well as a number of financial product providers to manage electronic enquiry data.
Iress' UK managing director Mark Thelwell said its platform would provide the flexibility the UK financial services industry requires as it faces reforms under the Financial Services Authority's Retail Distribution Review.
According to James Stevenson (head of adviser technology at Sesame Bankhall), the feedback from its adviser network has been positive and the company would be working closely with Iress over the coming months in order to access the full benefits of the solution.
