FPA puts CFP delivery up for tender

The Financial Planning Association (FPA) has invited tenders for the delivery of its Certified Financial Planner (CFP) program as it enters the next phase of its education revamp - a move that follows the outsourcing of its entry level education programs to Tribeca Learning.

“The review we have been doing in terms of delivery of the CFP and continuing professional development follows our decision to get out of entry level education - it is all a part of the bigger picture,” an FPA spokesperson told Money Management.

Tribeca was awarded the contract to run the Diploma of Financial Services (DFS) and Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (ADFS) in July after the FPA took the decisions in March to outsource the programs.

At the time Tribeca signalled its interest in also taking on the CFP program.

The tender is divided into two parts and the FPA has invited interested parties to apply for either, or both parts.

The first area is focused on the supply of with content development, design and delivery of assessment, results processing and notification of results of the CFP Certification program.

The second includes the provision of logistical services in the reproduction, printing, mailing and delivery of all learning and ancillary materials to enrolled students.

The FPA will receive tenders up until 4pm on September 27, 2004.
