Former Frank Russell Australia managing director Meredith Brooks has been awarded Actuary of the Year by the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (IAA).
Former Frank Russell Australia managing director Meredith Brooks has been awarded Actuary of the Year by the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (IAA).
Brooks, who is currently managing director of institutional investment services at Frank Russell in the US, was presented with the award by IAA president Dr David Knox.
Dr Knox described her as one of the most prominent women in the Australian funds management industry who also has gained international recognition.
"This places her among a tiny elite who can potentially influence the directions and agenda for the global industry," he told yesterday’s award function.
Brooks graduated from Macquarie University in 1981 and has worked as an actuary, asset con-sultant and fund manager for companies including AMP, Bankers Trust and Towers Perrin be-fore taking up with Frank Russell.
