Iress has appointed the former head of Count Financial to a newly created executive general manager position in its wealth APAC team.

The technology company confirmed that Adam Webb will join next month as the executive general manager of customer in its wealth business.

In the new role, Webb will oversee Iress’ customer-facing teams for the wealth APAC division and deliver increased value to the firm’s current customers while meeting the increasing demand for the full spectrum of advice technologies among new customers.

He holds more than 20 years of leadership experience across banking, wealth management, technology and financial advice.

Most recently, Webb spent nearly three years at financial advice licensee Count in a range of senior positions, including head of acquisition strategy and growth, board chair, and head of Count Financial.

During his time as head of Count Financial, Webb led the strategy and growth of the firm’s AFSL network, and supported the practice development and advice technology teams.

Prior to this, Webb also spent 12 years at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia where he held senior management positions in the company’s wealth arm, including as head of advice for Victoria and Tasmania.

“I’m delighted to welcome Adam to Iress. Adam has a deep understanding of the evolving wealth management landscape in Australia and a proven track record of delivering exceptional, innovative customer experiences,” commented Kelli Willmer, Iress’ chief executive for wealth APAC.

“I’m confident Adam will be a great asset to Iress as we step into an exciting new era of opportunities for technology-led advice delivery. Adam will play a key role in supporting the launch of our 2025 product roadmap, which introduces innovative new functionality to our Xplan software that will transform how we serve and support our customers.”

Meanwhile, Webb said he was thrilled to be joining Iress at an exciting time for the business.

He said: “I’m looking forward to working with current and future clients to unlock value and to contribute to Iress’ goal of enabling the delivery of more advice to more people.”

Last month, Iress announced several appointments in its APAC wealth propositions team with a number of newly created roles, focusing on executing Iress’ growth strategies across digital advice, Xplan and strategic partnerships.

The team includes the following roles:

  • Tanya Martin, general manager of wealth propositions
  • Tom Cochran, head of partnerships
  • David Collins, head of digital advice
  • James Blanton, head of Xplan sales
  • Thomas Cunich, Xplan sales associate
