ETF products added to Colonial First State platform

Following the growing interest in exchange traded funds (ETFs) Market Vectors ETF, the ETF business of Van Eck Global, has announced that four of its funds are now available on through Colonial First State's FirstWrap Super and Pension platform.
One the of the products, the Market Vectors Australian Equal Weight (MVW) equally weights 73 Australian securities avoids stock concentration in the Australian market.
"There has been increasing demand from financial advisers for our ETFs. MVW has attracted advisers seeking greater diversification and long-term outperformance compared to traditional market capitalisation indicies such as the S&P/ASX 200 Accumulation Index," Van Eck Global in Australia director of institutions and intermediaries, Matthew McKinnon, said.
"ETFs can be used to gain targeted exposure for client's portfolios at a lower cost than actively managed funds."
McKinnon added that transparency, intraday trading, and liquidity added to the appeal of ETFs.
