Of the 50 or so master trusts now on the market, the top five make up about three quarters of the $28 billion sector.

In fact such has been the dominance of the top players, if you combine the funds under management of the top three, you will have half of all funds under manage-ment in master trusts.

Australian master trust pioneers Asgard have continued dominance of the sector with just under $6 billion under management, almost $2 billion clkear of its nearest rival Norwich. Despite all the talk about ownership issues, Asgard continues to top Assirt market share figures, recording inflows of $378 million in the three months to August 31.

AMP lIfe is the latest addition to the top ten after it transferred its AMP Flexible Lifetime products to the discretionary master trust sector of Assirt’s market share report.
