Countplus appoints new financial planning business head

Countplus has appointed Pierre Kraft as the chief executive officer of its new financial planning business, Advice389.
Countplus is set to launch Advice389 in mid-May, with the business looking to partner with financial planning firms through a shared equity model.
Kraft's role will include looking after business strategy and meeting growth targets, while leading the business' partner principals.
Countplus CEO Phil Aris said Kraft has solid experience in the financial advice industry, while Kraft said he will reveal more information about Advice389 in the coming months.
Kraft is currently director and executive chairman of Countplus subsidiary TFS Group.
He was previously managing director and partner at Aon Hewitt Wealth Management, during which time he launched Wealth Management Asia as chair of the Asian Wealth Management Project. He has also worked at MLC in various capacities.
Kraft was also co-chair of the Future of Financial Advice committee for the Association of Financial Advisers.
He started his role in February, reporting directly to Aris.
