Clearview launches wrap platform

ClearView Wealth has announced the launch of a private label wrap platform for superannuation , retirement income and investor-directed portfolio service (IDPS) accounts.
The new WealthSolutions platform will be accompanied by a new suite of life advice products and services called LifeSolutions, and ClearView managing director Simon Swanson said the two releases bring ClearView closer to its goal of becoming a fully vertically integrated life insurance and wealth management company.
ClearView said the new range of products and services will help the firm penetrate the independent financial adviser (IFA) market.
The WealthSolutions platform will be distributed by ClearView financial planners under the ClearView brand. It will include managed funds, Australian Securities Exchange-listed securities and term deposits held in superannuation, pension or IDPS wrap accounts, according to ClearView.
The WealthSolutions products will be held on ClearView's wrap platform. The investment menu will also offer seven ClearView managed investment funds (Australian shares, international shares, emerging markets, international listed infrastructure, fixed interest, property and cash) and four ClearView-run model portfolios (moderate, balanced, growth and aggressive).
LifeSolutions will be sold by IFAs and ClearView financial planners, and include life cover, total and permanent disability (TPD), trauma, income protection and business expenses cover. Cover can also be purchased via a ClearView "risk super" version called LifeSolutions Super, ClearView stated.
It will feature the ability to link cover in and out of superannuation, including self-managed super funds. Premiums can be funded through annual rollovers from any super fund including ClearView's new WealthSolutions super accounts.
Swanson said ClearView's lack of legacy products and systems helped the firm complete the launch in "record time".
