AIOFP appoints Filtered Research Committee members
The Association of Independently-Owned Financial Planners (AIOFP) has announced the five constituent members of its inaugural Filtered Research Committee (FRC), which is due for launch on September 1 this year.
Three members have been elected to the FRC, the function of which is to provide research and construct an Approved Product List for the AIOFP’s 160 member firms and 2,000 advisers.
They are Neil Gearside and Andrew Reeve-Parker, financial planners from AIOFP member practice NW Advice in Sydney [in rotation], and David Bertram from Perth-based dealer group Wealthsure.
The remaining two appointed members are AIOFP executive Peter Johnston and Richard Everingham, head of Mercer’s wealth management consulting services, which was last month appointed to consult to the FRC.
Gearside and Reeve-Parker will represent (in rotation) the smaller members of the AIOFP while Bertram will represent larger member firms.
