Rainmaker looks for best sales pitch

Industryresearch group Rainmaker Information is looking for the best marketers in the industry and is inviting nominations for its inaugural Marketing Excellence Awards, which it will present in partnership withMoneyManagement,SuperReviewandB&T Weekly.

The winners of the awards, which recognise outstanding achievement and innovation in marketing among fund managers, will be announced at the Rainmaker Marketing Symposium Dinner on the Gold Coast in October.

Rainmaker Information managing director Chris Page says the aim of the exercise is to identify and reward those who show leadership in marketing, which he says contributes not only to the success of their company but to the industry as a whole.

Money ManagementandB&T Weeklyhas teamed up with Rainmaker to support the awards, which will focus on the following areas within the retail market:

Marketer of the Year Award — as voted by financial planners

Marketer of the Year Award — as voted by fund researchers

Marketing Campaign of the Year — as seen by the retail trade

Marketing Campaign of the Year — as seen by retail consumers

Money Managementssister titleSuper Reviewwill back similar awards on the institutional side of the industry.
