How do you spell…?
FINALLY, we’re going to find out what a master trust and wrap account is, as well as the actual meaning of holistic financial planning and lifestyle planning.
Invesco Australia in conjunction with Oxford University Press will publish an Australian investment terms dictionary, to be available by November.
It’s been a long time coming — two years in fact — since a dictionary of Australian investment terms has been updated, and one which includes up-to-the moment definitions of some of the what-see-me-call-its in the industry that has perplexed us all.
Thank goodness master trusts have only been really hot for the past six months or so, so it’s not like any of us have really got caught out not knowing what the new and funky investment vehicles actually do.
But can you imagine if the dictionary did not include definitions of alpha, or beta for that matter, or even MERs, IBETAs and GST? It would be like a chicken shop without a BBQ chicken, or a grey shoe shop without grey shoes.
Damn, it would be a full-on debacle, or is it disaster? Whatever, you know what we mean, you’ve got a dictionary right?
