Industry veteran and Perpetual non-executive director, Ian Hammond, has joined Suncorp Group’s board as a non-executive director.

Hammond has had a career in the financial services industry spanning 35 years, with non-executive director experience at Citigroup, Mission Australia and the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.

Suncorp chair, Christine McLoughlin, said Hammond’s professional financial services experience would complement the board as the industry undergoes regulatory and business changes.

“Ian has outstanding business acumen and brings considerable capability across financial services that strengthens the expertise of the current board,” she said.

“His perspectives will also support Suncorp’s focus on ensuring continuous improvement in delivering customer outcomes and aligning them to community expectations.”
