Franklin Templeton adds to Aussie distribution team
Franklin Templeton has made two senior appointments to its Sydney distribution team, in a move that it says will add depth to the firm’s ability to meet investors’ needs in Australia and New Zealand.
Felicity Walsh would take up the mantle of head of institutional and alternatives, having been promoted from head of alternatives, Australia. She would head up the firm’s institutional distribution business with a focus on delivery of its investment capabilities.
Amy Teh would join Franklin Templeton from Colonial First State (CFS), coming on board as the firm’s inaugural head of investment and consultant relations. She would be responsible for managing its relationship with research houses and investment consultants.
Teh would bring experience as CFS’ national manager, strategy and implementation to the role, as well as time as an investment consultant and actuarial analyst at Willis Towers Watson.
“Both Amy and Felicity bring a great deal of experience to our team and will play a crucial role in not only working with key client groups but also in supporting the buildout of our distribution strategy in the Australian market,” Franklin Templeton Investments Australia managing director, Matthew Harrison, said.
