Specialist small and micro-cap investment management firm, Spheria Asset Management, has appointed Daniel Peters to the newly-created role of head of research.

Peters’ role would cover domestic companies and be responsible for ensuring Spheria’s research across its domestic and global strategies was executed at the highest standard.

He had previously worked alongside Spheria co-founders, Matthew Booker, Marcus Burns and Adam Lund, at Schroders where he was a senior research analyst for 13 years covering various ASX 200 companies and sectors, as well as small and micro-caps.

Spheria co-founder and portfolio manager, Marcus Burns said: “We are thrilled to be reuniting with a former colleague who many of us at Spheria have worked alongside with in the past and together, achieved great client outcomes. We know Daniel’s investment philosophy is closely aligned to that of our team and are confident he will play an integral role in the future growth of Spheria.

“In the small and micro-cap space you can’t overstate the value of thorough and innovative research and we think Daniel can play a major role in the continued optimisation of our successful domestic and global research efforts.”
