Hyperion expands team as it focuses on growth

Hyperion has made three appointments to its team with the firm saying the expansion will allow it to strengthen its investment performance.

Thomas Withers has been appointed as head of risk and compliance from Northcape Capital while Alexandra Clarke has been appointed as general executive and Sam Parcell as research associate.

Withers had 20 years’ experience in investment management and would be responsible for providing strategic direction to Hyperion’s senior management team.

Clarke joined from ClearView Wealth where she was a senior investment and macro research analyst and previously worked at the Reserve Bank of Australia.

Parcell joined from his role as investment analyst at Sandhurst Trustees and had previously worked as an analyst at Bendigo Bank.

Chief investment officer and managing director at Hyperion, Mark Arnold, said: “Thomas, Alexandra and Sam bring together 40 years of experience to our team with a diverse array of industry nous and capabilities across investing, risk management, compliance and funds management”.
