CQS expands Australian presence

US$11 billion global asset management firm CQS has expanded its Australian presence with the appointment of Louise Walker.

Walker was most recently at Tria Investment Partners. She previously worked for more than 20 years at Macquarie Group were she held a number of senior positions including portfolio manager and fixed income product specialist.

At CQS she will be responsible for further developing CQS' sales and client service functions covering Australia and New Zealand.

CQS Australia managing director Paul Chadwick said that her background meant she would "provide significant value for our clients in what is a strategically important market for the firm".

CQS  was established in 1999 and now has a worldwide staff of over 230.
