American banking and financial services company BNY Mellon has appointed Jason Mistry as business development lead for its Corporate Trust Asia Pacific (APAC) team.

Based in Melbourne, he would report to Kenneth Cheong, managing director corporate trust, and his role would be to further help BNY Mellon support the activities of domestic and international clients.

Mistry had most recently served in business development roles for HSBC and Citibank covering the Middle East and North Africa.

Cheong said: “BNY Mellon continues to invest in our Australian Corporate Trust business, particularly in both technology and people, and recognize Melbourne’s growing importance as a financial center where several key banks, corporates, broker-dealers and advisors are headquartered.”
