Vanguard Australia makes changes to investment team
Vanguard Investments Australia has announced a number of changes to its investment management team, with current head of investments for the Asia Pacific region, Rodney Comegys being relocated to the company’s US headquarters.
His role would be filled by Daniel Reyes, current head of advised portfolio solutions within Vanguard’s investment strategy group in the US, and the transition was expected to close by September and October.
Reyes first joined Vanguard in 2004 and held a number of roles across the company’s institutional advisory services, the fixed income portfolio management group, human resources, and the retail division.
In his new role, he would also lead the Investment Strategy Group (ISG) for the region.
On the other hand, Comegys would also be expected to return to a senior role with Vanguard’s Investment Management Group however the details would be announced closer to his return to the US.
Vanguard has also appointed Jeffrey Johnson, who currently leads the regional ISG team, as its new head of fixed income. Johnson would be in charge of 13 portfolio management professionals that together oversee over $28 billion in bond and cash portfolios.
He would also replace Stephen Howard, the current head of fixed income, who decided to leave Vanguard to pursue other opportunities.
