PIMCO makes key US hire
Former Annaly Capital Management managing director, Jeffrey Thompson, has been appointed to the New York-based position of executive vice president and portfolio manager with global investment management firm, PIMCO.
Thompson would focus on CRE lending opportunities and would report to PIMCO managing director and portfolio manager, John Murray, and executive vice president and portfolio manager, Devin Chen, in their capacity as co-heads of US commercial real estate.
"Jeffrey brings more than 20 years of experience as an investment professional to our accomplished commercial real estate team," Murray said of the appointment.
"[He is] a tested portfolio manager in commercial real estate and private credit."
Prior to his position with Annaly Capital, Thompson spent 20 years with GE Capital working with institutional private equity commercial real estate clients.
