Diversified financial services company, Yellow Brick Road, has appointed Westpac's Adam Youkhana as the general manager of its wealth division.

It came after former chief executive, Matt Lawler, resigned in July.

Executive chairman, Mark Bouris, said Youkhana's role would include focusing on authorised representative recruitment, increasing the percentage of clients receiving wealth advice, and building wealth capability in terms of service and quality advice.

"This is a new role, reporting directly in to me, responsible for the end to end business of wealth management," Bouris said.

"This includes primary responsibility for our AFSL [Australian financial services licence] and the general advice and personal advice offers we have within the business."

Youkhana previously held senior roles for over six years at Westpac Banking Group, including head of partnerships and private banks for financial planning across Australia.

He has also worked at National Australia Bank (NAB) Private Wealth as head of financial advice where he oversaw strategic and business operations of their wealth management business.

Youkhana would begin his role today.
