Parliamentary secretary speaking at retirement incomes workshop
The Hon. David Bradbury, Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer, is just one in the line-up of high quality speakers who will be presenting at the inaugural Money Management education workshop on Retirement Incomes.
The full-day workshop, to be held in Sydney on Tuesday, 7 June, will feature Mr Bradbury who will present the Government’s view on retirement incomes, including reforms and where the Government thinks the industry should be heading with retirement incomes.
Other confirmed speakers include MLC senior technical manager Peter Hogan, who will be case-studying the best retirement income strategies, as well as highlighting the strategies that financial planners should avoid.
AMP Capital Investors’ head of investment solutions and senior portfolio manager John Zavone will deliver an informative session on how financial planners should manage risk for retirees by looking at dynamic forms of asset allocation.
Co-founder of Strategy Steps, Assyat David, will dissect the key findings of the Productivity Commission’s draft report on Caring for Older Australians, and discuss what the recommendations are likely to mean to financial planners and their clients.
Craig Hall from the National Information Centre on Retirement Investments will give a unique insight into what retirees really want from their financial planner, the investment strategies that are recommended to them and the products they are placed into.
The Retirement Incomes workshop also includes two interactive panel sessions, including one that will analyse the next generation of products. Panellists will look at the future trends and developments in retirement incomes, while providing delegates with an insight into what new products are likely to hit the Australian market, and when.
The Retirement Incomes education workshop will be held in Sydney on Tuesday, 7 June, but hurry – the $180 ‘Early Bird’ rate closes next Friday, 13 May.
