Johnston confirmed as Suncorp CEO

Suncorp has appointed the long-serving Steve Johnston as its group chief executive, effectively immediately.

Johnston, who has spent nearly 14 years with the company, was confirmed in the role today.

Johnston joined 2006 and was acting group chief executive, prior to which he was group chief financial officer.

Prior to joining Suncorp he was general manager, corporate and government relations at Telstra.
