IOOF appoints Breckon as head of technical services
IOOF has looked internally for its new head of technical services, appointing Martin Breckon to the role.
The company announced that Breckon would be succeeding Kate Anderson who recently moved to a senior role within IOOF-owned Bridges Financial Services.
Confirming the move, IOOF group general manager, wealth management, Renato Mota said succession planning and mentoring was fundamental to the development of IOOF’s advice business.
“The promotion of Martin is testament to this,” he said. “Martin is highly capable, extremely knowledgeable and has an expert understanding of best practice provision of financial services advice and strategies. He is highly respected by licensees, advisers and his peers across the broader industry.”
The announcement said Breckon had been a key member of IOOF’s technical services team since 2012 and has over 20 years’ experience in technical advice services including at AXA, Aviva and MLC.
